Churchill Lecture - What is Seen and What is Not Seen: the UK, Europe, and beyond

The Rt Hon Lord Frost of Allenton CMG (Member of the House of Lords, Former UK Cabinet Minister and Chief Brexit Negotiator) held his speech in English about «What is Seen and What is Not Seen: the UK, Europe, and beyond» at the University of Zurich.

 

Lord Frost will reflect both on what may be learned about the UK / EU relationship from the Brexit experience of the last five years, including his own role in leading the UK negotiating team, and on how that relationship may develop in future. He will also consider the broad trends in European political economy in recent years, taking in the implications of the pandemic and of the potential reordering of the economy around environmental goals. He will examine what these trends imply for Europeans’ ability to protect their interests and safeguard their future, and for the future of European politics and society more broadly.
