Legal English for International Practice: Legal English, Common Law Concepts and AI-Assisted Legal Drafting
A new course for legal professionals working in Switzerland
English has become the working language of international business, cross-border transactions and multi-jurisdictional legal proceedings. At the same time, generative artificial intelligence and machine translation tools are rapidly changing how legal professionals draft, review and communicate.
The Europa Institut has been offering high-level Legal English training for more than twenty years.
The 2026 programme reflects the realities of modern legal practice by combining Legal English, Common Law concepts and practical guidance on using AI efficiently in legal work with an emphasis on clear communication in English.
The Swiss Parliament has created new opportunities for litigation and dispute resolution to be in English. Lawyers working in international environments increasingly require confidence and competence, not only in Legal English, but also in evaluating and correcting AI-generated legal content.
