The future of farming in a changing climate: Syngenta Group‘s response to climate change and evolving agricultural challenges

Agriculture faces an unprecedented challenge: feeding 10 billion people by 2050 while regenerating a vast share of our planet‘s ecosystems. Climate change is making growing conditions more erratic, pests are evolving resistance and migrating to new regions, and arable land and freshwater are increasingly constrained. In addition, regional conflicts and increasing flooding and droughts impact food production around the world. What does this mean for Syngenta Group as a leading global agricultural innovation company? Aware of its economic and social responsibilities, the company invests across multiple fronts: next-generation crop protection solutions, biologicals, precision agriculture, AI-powered digital tools, and breakthrough plant breeding techniques. These technologies are critical to enhance productivity sustainably – balancing nature with food security while building resilience for the next generation of agriculture.
